With reference to the misinterpretations of the Council’s of Ministers Regulation on the minimal requirements for teleinformational systems (O.J. No 212 item 1766 of October 28th 2005) concerning the acceptable text files and text and graphic files formats, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration informs that the above Regulation specifies exclusively the minimal requirements.
28.11.2005The European Commission’s Exercise on the flu pandemics
The primary objective of the exercises that took place on November 23rd – 24th 2005 was to revise and test in practice the national action plans in case of a serious hazard for human health, as well as to check the Member States’ capacity to react in a crisis situation, such as the flu pandemics.
On November 22nd 2005, Prime Minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz appointed Mr Grzegorz Bliźniuk – Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration – to the position of the Plenipotentiary of the Government for Preparing the Public Administration Bodies to Cooperate with the Schengen Information System II (SIS II) and Visa Information System (VIS)

The orders and decorations for outstanding achievements in the area of information technologies development for the country were awarded by the Undesecretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Grzegorz Bliźniuk, on behalf of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Ludwik Dorn.

The functioning of the Polish-American Working Group for Terrorism and the projects of the joint Polish-American training programmes were the major issues discussed during the meeting of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Ludwik Dorn, with the Ambassador of the United States, Victor Ashe.

International security, border protection and cooperation between the countries were the main issues discussed during the yesterday’s meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior and Administration, Ludwik Dorn, with the representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Members States of the European Union, as well as of Bulgaria and Romania. Also, the Head of the Frontex Agency, Ilka Laitinen, was present at the meeting.
21.11.2005Establishing the team evaluating candidates for voivods
The Minister of the Interior and Administration, Ludwik Dorn, established a team the responsibility of which would be to evaluate candidates for voivods and deputy voivodship.
16.11.2005New Deputy Minister in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration
At the request of the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Ludwik Dorn, on November 16th 2005, the Prime Minister appointed Mr Wiesław Tarka for the office of the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. The new Undersecretary of State will be responsible, among others, for European issues, international contacts and migration.
The Minister of the Interior and Administration decided to change the date of the preliminary allocation of subsidies for realization in 2006 of the tasks aimed at protecting, maintaing and developing the cultural identity of ethnic and national miniroties, as well as at maintaing and developing the regional language. The date is to be shifted until December 9th 2005.
