Group of children from the Russian area of Twer and Miednoje arrived today to the holiday centre in Jastrzębia Góra on the invitation of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the General Police Headquarters and the Police Family 39 Association.
18.07.2005Assistance for the Romanian flood victims
In connection with the biggest flood that hit Romania, Mr Tadeusz Matusiak, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, ordered the management of the Headquarters of the Fire Service to establish contacts with the Embassy of Romania so as to decide on the scope of assistance for the Romanian authorities responsible for the rescuing operations.

The extraordinary meeting of the Council of the European Union for Justice and Home Affairs was held. One of the decisions made by the Council concerned the agreement by the EU Member States by October 2005 on the draft Framework Decision on retention of telecommunication data.
In connection to the attacks that took place in London which are believed to be of a terrorist character, the services subordinate to the MIA are constantly in touch with the Internal Security Agency and the British partners.

After today’s terrorist attacks in London, the threat of a terrorist attack in Poland has not grown – said the Deputy Prime Minister Izabela Jaruga – Nowacka following the meeting of the Government Crisis Reaction Team. She pointed that so far no signals concerning the potential Polish victims of the London attacks have been received.
