27.03.2006Visit to the Ministry of Interior of Great Britain
On March 27-28, 2006, Mr. Ludwik Dorn, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Interior and Administration, will visit Great Britain at Mr. Charles Clarke’s, Minister of Interior of Great Britain, invitation. Deputy Prime Minister will be accompanied by the management of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Commanders-in-Chief of the General Police Headquarters and Border Guard.

The meeting between the Ministers of Interior of the G6 Group (France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain and Italy) was held on March 22-23, 2006, in Heiligendamm. Poland participated in this meeting for the first time. The following persons took part: Mr. Ludwik Dorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Administration and Mr. Wiesław Tarka, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Interior and Administration.

On March 20, 2006 in Lviv, the V Meeting of the Polish – Ukrainian Intra-Governmental Coordination Council on Intra-Regional Cooperation was held and co-chaired by Mr. Wiesław Tarka, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Interior and Administration of the Republic of Poland from the Polish party and Mr. Volodimir Handohiy, Vice-Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Ukraine from the Ukrainian party.

An item in the Observer column on March 14 reported that Ludwik Dorn, Poland’s minister of the interior, had said some former police officers used the services of prostitutes. A more correct translation was that they had a "broad social life".
