The i2010 High Level Group meeting was held today, in Brussels, with the participation of the ministers responsible for communication and information society in each Member State.
16.02.2009Visit of the delegation of Croatia
On 16–18 February 2009 a delegation from Croatia, led by Ivo Bacic, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Interior, visited Poland. The guests included: Filip Dragovic, the Assistant Minister for European Integration and Peacekeeping Operations in the Ministry of Interior, Nikola Milina, Chief of the Police Border, Miljan Brkic and Drazen Vitez, Deputy Chiefs of Police. The delegation was received by Minister Adam Rapacki.
16.02.2009External Borders Fund 2007-2013
The legal basis for using funds from External Borders Fund 2007-2013 by Poland is the Decision No 574/2007/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 May 2007 establishing the External Borders Fund for the period 2007 to 2013 as part of the General programme ‘Solidarity and Management of Migration Flows’.
11.02.2009The U.S.-Poland Joint Counterterrorism Working Group Meeting
The U.S.-Poland Joint Counterterrorism Group meeting was held on 11 February 2009.First, the American guests visited the Counterterrorism Centre (CAT), where they learnt about the centre’s work methods and conditions.
10.02.2009European 112 Day
In accordance with the declaration of the EU institutions – the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament and the European Commission –11 February 2009 was established as European 112 Day.
06.02.2009Safer Internet Day
On 10 February 2009, for the fifth time already, the Nobody’s Children Foundation and NASK, implementing entities of the EU project Saferinternet.pl, organised the Safer Internet Day in Poland. Therefore, the University Library in Warsaw held a conference on the safety of the youngest Internet users.
05.02.2009Another group of Georgian children in Poland
On 6 February 2009, at about 3 p.m., a special TU – 154M airplane from the 36th Special Aviation Regiment in Warsaw landed at Szczecin – Goleniów Airport. Another 90-person group of Georgian children with 10 carers arrived in Poland on board.
