29.09.2009Bioterrorism International Tabletop Exercise
Adam Rapacki, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration together with Supt Andrzej Matejuk, Chief Commander of the Police officially opened the Exercise for Preventing and Countering Bioterrorist Attacks, organised by the INTERPOL General Secretariat in conjunction with the Polish Police.
23.09.2009Major international criminal group crushed by Polish and German Services
On 23 September 2009 officers of Poland’s Border Guard and Germany’s Federal Police broke up an international criminal group dealing with human smuggling across the border. Under the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) Polish and German Services captured foreign nationals of Chechen descent in Poland, Germany and Austria for dealing with organising illegal migration. Among the apprehended was the mastermind behind the human smuggling racket and his partner in crime.
23.09.2009Meeting with the members of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI)
On 23 September 2009 representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration and members of the Joint Commission of the Government and National and Ethnic Minorities met with the representatives the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI): Vigen Kocharyan, Nils Muiznieks and ECRI Executive Secretary Stephanson Stavoros. The meeting was chaired by Tomasz Siemoniak, Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration.
