23.02.2011European Commission on e-government
The European Commission has published a new report on e-government effectiveness in the EU Member States in 2010. Poland was ranked as 19 among the countries offering a full range of public e-services, which is higher by 6 spots in comparison with the year 2009. A total of 32 countries took part in the study.
17.02.2011Aid for national and ethnic minorities
In 2010 Jerzy Miller, Minster of Interior and Administration, awarded 103 units dealing with national and ethnic minorities and regional language issues with a grant of PLN 14 million in total. The MIA financial aid made it possible to renovate the Centre of Ukrainian Culture in Zielona Góra, organize the next edition of a spelling contest in Kaszuby region and sponsor regional language publishing.
10.02.2011European 112 Day celebrations in Kraków
On 11 February, which was hailed a European 112 Day by the European Union, all Member States hold festivities to mark the introduction of the emergency call number. The events in Poland included classes for children at the Emergency Communication Centre and an event at the Main Market Square in Kraków.

Friday the 4th of February was the last meeting day of the Interior Ministers of the largest EU Member States, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security , and Attorney General of the United States. The participants discussed security in cyberspace and antiterrorist information policy.

The prime topic of the workshops of the Committee for Safety and Security at EURO 2012 was the evaluation of Polish preparations for the European Football Championship. International experts also presented their conclusions and comments on the safety and security at mass sport events. Workshops were organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
