31.03.2011Essen talks about Polish German cooperation
Tomasz Siemoniak, Secretary of State at the MIA, is joining the delegation of the Polish Senate paying a one day visit to Essen in Germany today. Members of the delegation are going to take part in the inauguration of the Poland-Nordrein Westfallen cultural season. The agenda includes also a meeting with Hannelore Kraftem, the Minister President of Nordrein Westfallen and the President of the higher chamber of the German Parliament (Bundesrat).
17.03.2011Polish expert in Japan
A group of EU experts delegated on the basis of Community Civil Protection Mechanism (EUCPT) are currently deployed in Japan. The team consists of nine experts from the Czech Republic, Hungary, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Norway and Poland. The main task of the coordination team is to consolidate and coordinate the inflow of the European aid. Along with the group of experts a technical IT team, as well as a CBRN (biological, chemical and radiation response) team have been deployed. The latter is responsible for detection of radioactive contamination in order to protect the experts.

In 2010 there were only 150 cases of violence for more than 7 thousand sports events. In comparison with the previous years this rate is gradually dropping, underlined Adam Rapacki, Undersecretary of State at the MIA. Secretary of State provided an update on the progress of preparations for securing EURO 2012.
02.03.2011Streamlined procedures for immigrants living in Poland
Extension of the temporary residence permit by one year and an expedited procedure for the issue of residence permits in Poland are only two of a range of improvements proposed by the Ministry of Interior and Administration. Currently, consultations with various ministries regarding the guidelines for the draft act on foreigners are taking place. They are to last until 14 March 2011.
