04.12.2012Head of MI presented the case of the foiled terrorist attack in Poland at the G6 and the USA ministerial meeting
On 21 November 2012, a G6+1 Ministerial Meeting, attended by the Ministers of Interior of G6 states and the USA, was held in London. Polish Minister of Interior, Mr. Jacek Cichocki, participated in the session. Head of Polish MI, at one of the plenary sessions, presented the information on the arrest of a man who had been preparing a terrorist attack on the Polish parliament (Sejm).

On 5th November 2012, Mr. Jacek Cichocki, the Minister of Interior, attended the 81st session of Interpol General Assembly in Rome. During the conference, held until 8th November, the participants discussed issues related among others to the modern forms of violence, including youth violence and trafficking in human beings.

The cooperation of Polish and German services in the border area and trilateral Polish-German-Czech cooperation in the field of combating border crime were the topics discussed by the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Poland Mr. Jacek Cichocki and the Minister of Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Hans-Peter Friedrich. The meeting was part of the 12th Polish-German Intergovernmental Consultations.
04.12.2012No decision taken on the discontinuation of Border Guard units
As of now, the Management of the Ministry of Interior has not taken any decisions concerning the discontinuation of Border Guard units. On many occasions, we informed that such decisions, if any, would be taken following a visit by Mr. Piotr Stachańczyk, Deputy Minister of Interior, at the Border Guard units. So far, the Deputy Minister visited two Border Guard units: the Carpathian Border Guard Unit and the Sudetian Border Guard Unit.
