Language courses for police officers, trainings for officers working with football fans, reconstruction of border checkpoints are only a few of all actions taken by the services supervised by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration before EURO 2012. The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Adam Rapacki, was one of the participants of the meeting of a special team for the provision of security during the Championships
On 11 February 2010 in Berlin Tomasz Siemoniak, Secretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration took part in a meeting on the results of the performance of the Polish-German Treaty on Good Neighbourliness and Friendly Cooperation signed in 1991.
Tomasz Siemoniak, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration received today (on February 2nd, 2010) a Ukrainian state award – the 3rd degree order of merit. The Minister was awarded the distinction for the efforts in the area of Polish-Ukrainian relations by President Victor Yushchenko.
On January 24th, 2010 at about 10 p.m. the group of Polish rescuers landed on the military airport Okęcie in Warsaw. The rescuers had participated during 7 days in the rescue action in Haiti, which was struck by the cataclysm.
The Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with the policemen who had recovered the “Arbeit macht frei” sign, which had been stolen from its place above the entrance gate to the former camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau”. The Head of Government emphasized that the theft had damaged the reputation of Poland. – The fact that you have demonstrated such extraordinary professionalism, such determination has rescued, to some extent, the reputation of the entire country in this matter - added Donald Tusk.
The Ministry of the Interior and Administration organized an open conference devoted to interoperability issues in Poland, which served as an introduction to the debate on the method of implementation in our country of the rules arising from the European Interoperability Framework 2.0 and European Interoperability Strategy.
On 11 December 2009 in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration another Common Polish – American Working Group on Combating Terrorism was held. The participants were Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration - Adam Rapacki and Deputy Head of Mission in USA Embassy in Warsaw – William Heidt.
On 22 October 2009, the 4th National Conference on Combating and Prevention of Trafficking in Human Beings was held in the building of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The Conference was organized by the Team for Matters of Trafficking in Human Beings of the Migration Policy Department at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, to mark the European Anti-Trafficking Day.
Adam Rapacki, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration together with Supt Andrzej Matejuk, Chief Commander of the Police officially opened the Exercise for Preventing and Countering Bioterrorist Attacks, organised by the INTERPOL General Secretariat in conjunction with the Polish Police.
